November 2020 - GMT Launches baiobit!

Following 30 years of research and development, Gait and Motion Technology are proud to launch baiobit; a game changer in accurate clinical and functional evaluations. baiobit offers an extensive range of test and exercise protocols with instant visual feedback and reporting and integrated exercise programmes for patients to follow at home.

October 2020 - GMT x British Athletics!

In preparation for Tokyo 2021, the GMT clinical team took some of our portable technologies to the track for a day of biomechanical assessments and Phits orthotics prescriptions. Top GB athletes Samantha Harrison, Tom Evans and Sophie Coldwell were screened using Footscan, baiobit, EasyAngle and EasyForce solutions (see video).

September 2020 - GMT's New Director of Operations!

We are pleased to welcome James Evans as our new Director of Operations. With over 15 years in orthotic manufacturing, development and design, James has experienced the natural progression from traditional casted and foam box impression based devices, to static iPad scanning, and now dynamic Footscan technology to produce Phits 3D Printed Orthotics

August 2020 - CPD Accredited Company!

July 2020 - GMT Launches EasyForce!

After the successful launch of our EasyAngle technology, Gait and Motion Technology are excited to launch EasyForce; a digital dynamometer that takes the guess work out of manual muscle testing with fast, accurate measurements of muscle strength and symmetry to assist with treatment plans, objectively monitor progress and enhance patient feedback.

June 2020 - GMT Launches Teethan!

Following exceptional success across Europe, Gait and Motion Technology are pleased to launch Teethan in the UK and Ireland! Teethan is the most advanced digital technology for the analysis of dental occlusion. Quick, easy, accurate and non-invasive, with instant reporting and comparisons that are not detectable via traditional methods.

May 2020 - Footscan and Phits in the Great Outdoors!

COVID-19 has resulted in a nationwide rise in recreational walking and running. With clinics being forced to close, many took their Footscan service outdoors! Footscan is portable and doesn't require a power supply, so it can be utilised anywhere whilst allowing the clinician to abide by social distancing measures! February 2020 - Phits for Lily Partridge!

We welcomed Lily Partridge to one of our Phits Expert clinics 'The Running Lab' in London for her Footscan assessment and Phits 3D Printed Running Orthotics in the build up to the 2020 London Half Marathon. January 2020 - Nike React Infinity Run Launch!

In our joint quest to reduce the risk of injury in runners, Nike have been conducting extensive research with our Footscan technology to accurately assess running biomechanics and loading patterns to design the new Nike React Infinity Run trainers. December 2019 - Sir Mo Farah Returns!

Having recently announced that he will be making a surprise return to the track at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Sir Mo Farah returned to our Runners' Lab for his Footscan analysis in preparation to defend his 10,000m Olympic Title for a third consecutive Olympic Games. November 2019 - Therapy Expo Workshops!

Gait and Motion Technology hosted 3 educational Workshops at the Therapy Expo in Birmingham, highlighting the clinical applications of our Footscan technology, Phits 3D Printed Orthotics and EasyAngle devices. EasyAngle devices sold out for a second consecutive show, with a diverse interest from Podiatrists, Physiotherapists, Sports Therapists, Osteopaths, Personal Trainers, Bike Fitters and Vetinarians!

October 2019 - The Foot and Ankle Show Launch!

Gait and Motion Technology were the Principal Sponsors of The Foot and Ankle Show in Liverpool; supporting innovation and best practice in Foot and Ankle Health. September 2019 - FREEEMG 1000 H20 is born!

Another exciting leap forward in muscle monitoring; the FREEEMG 1000 H2O is our latest wireless EMG technology that allows the probes to be immersed in up to 3 metres of water, whilst preserving the high signal quality and performance. This solution offers a new world of analysis for all water based sports and post injury/neuromotor aquatic rehabilitation!

August 2019 - Pace Rehabilitation Partnership!

We are proud to announce our new partnership with Pace Rehab; the UK’s largest independent provider of amputee rehabilitation services. Through a multi-disciplinary approach, Pace help individuals to reclaim their lives following life changing events via advanced care and technologies. Pace is now home to our EasyAngle device, 1.5m Footscan system and Phits; the worlds first dynamic 3D printed orthotics!

July 2019 - Phits for University of Nottingham!

The University of Nottingham is officially the first UK University to introduce our latest Footscan technology and Phits 3D Printed Orthotics to their cutting-edge Sports Injury Clinic. The clinic is based in the David Ross Sports Village which is also home to our PODIUM force plate solution, an integral part of their Gait Laboratory!

May 2019 - GMT Awarded Best Start Up Company!

Gait and Motion Technology exhibited at the Elevate COPA Show at ExCeL London and hosted 2 educational workshops in association with The College of Podiatry. We are proud to announce that we were also awarded 'Best Start Up Company 2019' by the judging panel at the Elevate Innovation Awards for our development over the past 15 months (see video).

May 2019 - GMT x Nike Collaboration!

We had a fantastic evening at the National Science Museum with Nike to launch the new Nike React Element 55 trainers which are specifically designed from dynamic pressure mapping for optimal performance. We provided Footscan assessments for celebs, press and influencers to demonstrate foot function during walking and running (see video).

April 2019 - Isokinetic Conference at Wembley!

Gait and Motion Technology attended the Isokinetic Football Medicine Strategies Conference at Wembley Stadium to support the FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence; users of our BTS GAITLAB, Footscan, Tiger Scanner and Phits 3D Printed Orthotics. Delegates were able to use our PODIUM force plates, FREEEMG and Footscan system (see video).

April 2019 - Annual Physio First Conference Success!

Gait and Motion Technology exhibited at the Annual Physio First Conference in Nottingham. This year the Conference was focussed on championing evidence based and cost effective practice within the Physiotherapy marketplace. It was a fantastic event and we welcomed several new 'Phits Expert' clinics to our ever growing network.

March 2019 - College of Podiatry GMT Workshops!

February 2019 - GMT launches EasyAngle!

Gait and Motion Technology are pleased to launch EasyAngle; an innovative range of motion measurement device that enables the clinician to quickly and accurately measure the mobility of all relevant joints in the body, providing enhanced patient feedback. Costing £250 (+VAT), EasyAngle is affordable solution for all clinical settings.

January 2019 - The National Running Show!

We attended The National Running Show at NEC Birmingham on the 19th and 20th of January to support UKRunChat and Phits Experts Chris Skitt and Paul Freary who were exhibiting our Footscan Technology and Phits 3D Printed Orthotics. This was a great opportunity to catch up with Phits Pioneer and Marathon World Record Holder Paula Radcliffe (see video).

December 2018 - The Phits Portfolio Expands!

In Spring 2018 we conducted a survey amongst Phits Experts worldwide and asked for their experiences and suggestions for our ongoing development plan. Based on the feedback we received, the Phits team developed 2 new product types; 'Slim Phits,' an even thinner orthotic design and 'Wide Phits,' specifically designed for people with very wide and flat feet.

November 2018 - Phits Facts Magazine!

The first edition of Phits Facts Magazine has been published! The Magazine features the latest product news and developments in the world of 3D Printing, detailed clinical reviews from existing Phits Experts and an in depth interview with Marathon Legend and Phits Pioneer, Paula Radcliffe. October 2018 - Phits for Ipswich Town Football Club!

Ipswich Town Football Club are officially the first professional football team in the UK to introduce our Phits 3D Printed Orthotics. Head of Medical Services, Chris Skitt has introduced the Footscan and Phits technology to screen players and prescribe custom football devices to improve comfort, reduce the risk of injury and optimise performance.

September 2018 - GMT Workshop Announced!

Gait and Motion Technology will be hosting a free workshop in collaboration with the International Bike Fitting Institute on Friday the 16th of November in Bury St Edmunds. The workshop will focus on 'Advances in Bike Fitting Technologies' and will include live demonstrations of Phits 3D Printed Cycling Orthotics and Myontec - Mbody Muscle Monitor.

August 2018 - Phits Expert Interview with Jo Lucas!

Phits Expert Jo Lucas, Owner and Orthotist at The Lakes Orthotics in Lound, Nottinghamshire was interviewed about her experiences using Footscan and Phits 3D Printed Orthotics. July 2018 - A Smart Shoe for Athletes and Diabetics!

CMST Laboratory at Ghent University are working with RSscan International on an intelligent shoe sole. The thin, flexible sole has over 900 sensors and measures plantar pressure distribution at high recording frequencies during walking or running. June 2018 - GMT Partners with University of Suffolk!

Gait and Motion Technology Ltd has partnered with University of Suffolk. The Universities Sport & Exercise Science programme is home to an outstanding Human Performance Laboratory. Forming this relationship allows us to reinvest our knowledge, working with students studying Biomechanics who will shape the next generation of healthcare. 

May 2018 - First UK Running Store Introduces Phits!

Easy Runner becomes the first running store in the UK to introduce Phits 3D Printed Orthotics. Home to Run Lab, Easy Runner has 28 years of experience in fitting running shoes. Always striving to offer the best customer experience; Matt Hart, Owner and Podiatrist, has redeveloped the stores Gait Analysis service through the addition of Footscan and Phits to now offer the most accurate bespoke insoles on the market.

April 2018 - Phits for Kids!

By popular demand, we are pleased to announce that Phits 3D Printed Orthotics are now available in children's sizes. ​Phits are proven to be the most accurate devices available with 0.1mm of accuracy​ and over 8 million corrective measurement combinations. There are a range top cover options, including 3 styles of D3O.

March 2018 - FitStation: ISPO Product of the Year!

FitStation (Powered by HP) has been awarded Product of the Year at ISPO 2018 in the Health and Fitness Category. Our in-store retail solution combines 3D foot scanning and dynamic gait analysis in order to deliver shoe recommendations, bespoke 3D-printed insoles, and fully customised footwear with variable PU injection-moulded midsoles all manufactured in-store whilst the customer waits.
