hunova

hunova: A robotic device for rehabilitation and the functional sensory-motor assessment of the lower limbs and trunk, developed to meet the clinical objective assessment needs for doctors and clinicians throughout the rehabilitation process.

hunova is an intuitive and easy to use robotic aid, dedicated to rehabilitation in Orthopaedics, Geriatrics and Neurology.

Orthopaedic applications

In the Orthopaedic sector, hunova is used for the rehabilitation of the ankle, knee, hip and lumbar region of the spine. The patient carries out passive mobilisation exercises, muscle strengthening, proprioceptive exercises and postural and balance control. The device is also used for sports rehabilitation.

Geriatric applications

In the Geriatric field, hunova enables the clinician to work on postural control, proprioception and balance. It is used to prevent and evaluate the risk of falls in the elderly and the recovery of cognitive aspects.

Neurological applications

In the Neurological area, hunova is used for post-stroke functional re-education, the treatment of degenerative diseases of the central nervous system and lesions of the peripheral nervous system; providing exercises of postural control, balance, core stability and proprioception.

hunova integrates evaluation and rehabilitation in an homogeneous path to monitor improvements in real time during the therapy.

hunova allows for:

  • The use of standardised protocols developed from international guidelines, combining more than 200 exercises from various clinical applications.

  • The modification of standard protocols to be adapted to specific applications.

  • The creation of personalised protocols for the needs of each facility.

Hunova offers 3 key rehabilitation indexes:

Silver Index

Prediction-based, personalised falls prevention, from assessment to treatment.

The silver index provides a controlled simulation of the external risk factors that cause falls, by stimulating the various mechanisms on which balanced is based, it also, enables the selective measurement of the various types of impairment to allow clinicians to customise rehabilitation therapy.

Drawing on artificial intelligence and specific machine learning algorithms, the silver index integrates the most selective biomechanical and clinical parameters to achieve a highly accurate degree of prediction for fall risk.

Performance Index

Assessing and improving athletic performance through robotics.

The performance index is a full-body assessment tool that summarises a patient’s athletic performance in a comprehensive report, making it an ideal solution for both amateur and professional athletes looking to enhance their performance, by comparing their progress with that of high-performers, to obtain better results.

Focusing specifically on balance and proprioception allows the medical team to treat musculoskeletal disorders that constitute some of the most common causes of injuries and occupational absenteeism.

Knee Index

The first functional index for knee assessment and treatment.

The knee index is an assessment index developed for individuals with a knee condition or who undergo knee surgery. It allows clinicians to plan optimum individualised rehabilitation with a pathway developed to suit the patient’s needs.
